Transaction Description | WDN was created over 20 years ago and has been family run and owned since inception, providing outstanding care, education and support to local children and parents. WDN’s approach to childcare is a holistic one, whilst much of their educational focus is on heuristic play, with the use of natural materials and resources, constant access to the outdoor environment in all weathers and children’s current interests taking priority in the planning of activities and experiences. Kindred is a family of day nurseries and pre-schools, founded on over 25 years’ experience in caring for babies and children, who have recently come together to build something even better and brighter to support little ones to thrive in their early years. The group encompasses over 40 nurseries in London, the Midlands, the East of England and the South of England. HMT acted as lead advisors on the transaction which included running a competitive auction process, negotiating key commercial terms of the sale documents, supporting the business through an extensive due diligence process and project managing the deal to a successful completion.
