Transaction Description | CIGP Partners has advised the shareholders of Mancino Vermouth, the fast emerging premium vermouth brand, in selling a majority stake to the group Lucano 1894, the renowned Italian amaro and spirits group. The transaction aims at providing Mancino Vermouth with new support and expertise in further continuing its success story, while broadening the product line of Lucano 1894, especially in the on-trade channel. Mancino Vermouth is the business idea of world-renowned barman and entrepreneur Giancarlo Mancino, who created a premium vermouth brand which rapidly became a must-have in the best bars, hotel and restaurants around the world. The transaction sets an important achievement for Mancino Vermouth and its founder Giancarlo Mancino, as well as the beginning of an important partnership with the Vena Family, owners of Lucano 1894, based on common values, ambitions and Lucanian roots. About the Lucano 1894 group Today, Lucano 1894 employs more than 50 people located in the headquarters in Milan and in the production plants in Pisticci Scalo and Vico Equense. In addition to producing the famous Amaro and other 15 spirits labels, Pisticci is also home to the company’s museum “Essenza Lucano”. Lucano 1894’s products are currently distributed in more than 30 countries around the world. The Vena family, now in its fourth generation, is still at the helm of the company, together with the support of experienced managers and consultants. About Mancino Vermouth |
