Pierre Abou-Sakr

Pierre is a board member and managing director of CIGP UK where he oversees the Group’s two core activities, Investment Banking and Wealth & Asset Management. Pierre sits on the Investment Committee. He is fluent in English, French and Arabic and proficient in Spanish.

 Experience

Pierre has over 18 years of experience in investment banking in senior roles focusing on credit and emerging markets, specifically for Africa, Europe and the Middle East. He was previously at Standard Chartered Bank where he served as head of the London leveraged finance and EMEA financial sponsors teams, originating and executing special situations financing transactions. Prior to joining Standard Chartered, Pierre worked at Credit Suisse’s Investment Banking Division in London, as a member of the financial sponsors group, financing and advising on private equity and leverage buyouts transactions. He began his career covering emerging and developing markets during his tenures at the International Monetary Fund in Washington D.C. and Rothschild Bank in Paris.

Education

Pierre graduated from HEC Business School in Paris with a Master’s degree in Economics. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the American University of Beirut.
