Jonathan (Jon) has over 25 years of experience as a banker, an operating executive for e-commerce, telecommunications, professional services and other companies and as a strategy consultant. Jon focuses on a broad range of industries, including technology/media/telecom (TMT), logistics/supply chain, manufacturing, and health care services.
Experience
Prior to affiliating with Westbury Group, Jon founded Abacus Capital Partners, a financial and management advisory firm. Jon earlier served as the Chief Executive Officer for E-Sync Networks, Inc., (NSDQ: ESNI), an online supply chain management company.
Jon has also held management positions at TeleChoice, NFO Worldwide, Southern New England Telephone (SNET) and Trans National Communications, Inc. (TNC). At SNET, where he was President of the General Consumer Group, Jon helped the company become the #2 long distance carrier in Connecticut.
Jon also pioneered SNET’s development of bundled service offerings. At TNC, a telecommunications provider, Jon was responsible for the residential division, and pioneered the use of affinity marketing for telecom services. Based on this success, TNC captured the #12 spot on the Inc. 500 survey.
Previously, Jon worked as a consultant for Mercer Management Consulting and Bain & Company. He has also worked for the investment banking firm Morgan Stanley.
Education
Jonathan earned his MBA and BA cum laude from Yale University. He also served on the Yale School of Management (SOM) Alumni Board from 2014 to 2020, . serving as Chair of the Board since July 2018. He remains active in the Yale SOM alumni community.
Life drives and passions
Jon believes that dedicating oneself to service is the foundation of success in any profession, including investment banking, and is committed to doing whatever it takes to achieves the client’s objectives.
He resides in Guilford, Connecticut, where he enjoys trail running, gardening, choral singing (he’s a baritone), reading fiction and non-fiction, and puzzles of all kinds. Every year for over twenty years, he has also joined several friends for wilderness adventures, hiking, camping and kayaking in some of the most beautiful parts of North America.
