Nicolas Mérindol is a Founding Partner of Carmin Finance, launched in September 2012, with the desire to give a new voice to the real economy, industry and services, thanks to the consulting banker’s proximity to his client.
Experience
Born in 1961, Nicolas began his career at the Renault Group’s Finance Department in France and Argentina.
He then joined Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC) and the Caisses d’Epargne Group, to become some years later the youngest CEO of a major international generalist bank. Nicolas has held numerous mandates in banking, insurance and services. Reform, rationalize, innovate while respecting the founding values have been the key words guiding Nicolas action.
He left the group in 2008 to join the Banca Leonardo group (lnvestment Bank) as a representative in France, and developed his consulting and support business for companies by taking stakes in recognised experts.
In 2012, he and his partners created the Carmin group, whose particularity is to focus on consulting banking, providing expert services to clients.
Since 2018 he also chairs the holding Company of the Press Group “Centre France La Montagne”.
Education
Nicolas is a graduate of the Institut de Gestion (ISG) and has an accounting certification.
Life drives and passions
Nicolas Mérindol has been a Knight of the Legion of Honour since 31 December 2015 and is also decorated with the Moroccan Order of Ouissam El Alaouite.
He has a strong civic engagement in humanitarian activities.
Indeed, since 2009, he has chaired AMREF Flying Doctors, Africa’s largest humanitarian health and medical research NGO, for France.
He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Foch Hospital, a financial engineering teacher, and a Commercial Court judge.
